Backstory
Ran away from a broken home at 18 to get away from his father, leaving his mother behind.
Having worked his way for a number of years he was finally able to get an opportunity to start college a bit later than most, but, plenty has happened throughout his years as a student though still unable to completely shake some of his previous outcast mannerisms.
Having previously survived on odd-jobs he grew a general distaste and distrust of opulent displays of wealth, which barely fits at an Ivy League-like school.
