Growing up, basketball was Maxi's passion and first love. In high school she excelled as a forward for the Bethel Park High Blackhawks, her skills earning her the attention of college scouts. With scholarships on the horizon, her future seemed promising. However, a devastating ACL injury during her senior season shattered her dreams. The loss of her athletic aspirations plunged Max into a deep depression. Even after recovering from her injury, she felt as though she lost her passion for basketball. A few years later, her parents gently nudged her back towards education. Reluctantly, Max agreed to explore college options. A trip to the small college town of Woodcrest, MA offered a chance for a fresh start for her.
