Ajax Madden was born and raised in the heart of Chicago, where the bustling streets and the smell of city food stalls shaped his early life. From a young age, Ajax was captivated by his mother’s cooking, always helping her in the kitchen after school. His family owned a small, but popular, soul food diner on the West Side. There, he learned the basics of cooking and developed a passion for bringing people together through food.

At 21, Ajax made the difficult decision to leave Chicago and move to Woodcrest, where he enrolled in a prestigious culinary arts program to pursue chef training. The decision wasn’t easy, he left behind his childhood friends and a familiar life. One person he stays in touch with regularly is Nena, a close friend from Chicago.

Ajax sees it as the perfect opportunity to focus on his craft. Here, he plans to push his limits, learn new techniques, and, one day, bring the taste of Chicago and his own culinary innovations to the world.
