Rio is a happy-go-lucky jock who enjoys the thrill of physical competition as much as he likes to party. Born in sunny Laguna Beach, California, he brings an upbeat attitude and relaxed aura wherever he goes, bringing him success on the court and friendship on school grounds.

Despite his affinity for unwinding with a joint or a couple beers, he's surprisingly introspective for a college athlete and tries to spend at least a little while focusing on academics as well. He earned a scholarship that covered most of his expenses at school and he intended to not let that gift go to waste. It might sound naive and wishful, but Rio wants to change the world, leaving it a better place than when he came in. A more peaceful world. This inspired him to major in political science; to study systems of government, learn about global geopolitics, and generally find out what makes the world tick.

Ever the optimist, he hopes to take these skills, and leverage the help of his friends around him to make a better place for people to live, starting of course with the people of Woodcrest.
