Backstory
Oliver Reed Moretti, known to his friends as "Wildcat" for his reckless and adventurous spirit, grew up in a small town in Italy. From a young age, he was charming, confident, and had a penchant for trouble. Oliver was the quintessential player in high school, always chasing skirts and living for the thrill of the moment. His striking looks and silver tongue made him the heartthrob of every party, and he relished in the attention.
After graduating high school, Oliver decided to join the Marines. He was looking for a way to channel his restless energy and find some direction in life. The discipline and camaraderie of the Marines provided him with structure, but his wild side never fully tamed. During a deployment overseas, he distinguished himself in combat, earning respect and the nickname "Wildcat" for his fierce and unpredictable nature in battle.
Upon returning home, Oliver enrolled in college in Germany under the GI Bill. His university days were a blur of parties, fleeting romances, and a half-hearted attempt at studying. It was during this time that he met Mae, a bright and beautiful pre-med student. Their chemistry was undeniable, and they shared a passionate, albeit brief, fling. They parted ways amicably, with neither expecting anything to come of their short-lived romance due being stationed in states. Years passed, and Oliver continued his fast-paced lifestyle, moving from one adventure to the next. He took on various jobs, from bartender, teaching to relationships psychologist, always searching for that next rush. Despite his seemingly carefree life, he often felt a nagging emptiness, a sense that something was missing.
One sunny afternoon, while teaching at college campus, Oliver noticed a young woman who seemed oddly familiar. She had Eddi's eyes and a determined look that reminded him of himself. After a few visits, the young woman, named Bianca, approached him with a serious expression.
Oliver was stunned. The revelation of being a father, hit him like a tidal wave, washing over years of memories and missed opportunities. He saw in Bianca's eyes a mix of hope, fear, and determination. It was like looking into a mirror, seeing a reflection of his younger self but with a wisdom and strength he admired.Overwhelmed with emotions, Oliver felt a surge of protectiveness and an unexpected joy. The wild, reckless days seemed distant now, and for the first time in years, he felt a sense of purpose. Even though he was still wild, he wasn’t wreckless anymore and ferociously protective over his daughter.
The bond between them strengthened with each passing day. Oliver's wild spirit found a new outlet in his devotion to his daughter. He became her biggest cheerleader and most steadfast protector, ensuring she never felt the absence of a father's love again.
