Backstory
Ary grew up in a tight-knit household where her mother ran a small hair salon out of their home and her father worked long hours as a Night Club owner and DJ. From an early age, she watched her mom hustle to build her clientele and learned the value of independence and self-expression. Fashion became her language — she would redesign thrifted clothes, style her friends for school dances, and even sell custom jewelry on Instagram by the time she was 16.
Despite financial challenges, Ary excelled academically and earned a partial scholarship to Woodcrest University, where she’s majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Her dream is to merge her love for fashion with business knowledge — launching her own boutique brand that celebrates Black culture, body positivity, and bold self-expression.
Ary is stepping into adulthood determined but a little nervous — it’s her first time living away from home. She’s ready to explore who she is beyond Florida, meet mentors who can sharpen her vision, and network with other ambitious students. Balancing classes, social life, and a part-time job at a local boutique, she’ll face obstacles — from impostor syndrome to financial pressure — but each challenge will shape her into the businesswoman she aspires to be.
