Backstory
Poppy Aizawa grew up in Portland as the quieter of two sisters — her older sister, Mika, once led a small college band that nearly broke out before an accident took her too soon. Poppy became withdrawn, learning chords on her sister's old guitar, humming harmonies under her breath when no one was listening.
Now 20, she’s moved out on her own, working at a corner café and playing open mic nights when courage wins out over nerves. She’s soft-spoken, always listening before she speaks, but her music says everything she can’t. Her voice carries warmth and melancholy — a little homesickness, a little hope.
She still keeps one of Mika’s old demo tapes in her bag — a reminder of where the dream began, and why she’s determined to make her own version of it come true.
