Youngest child of Raymond Vypper (Chemistry Teacher) and Judy McCarthy (Biology Teacher), both Professors at Lancaster University.

Following in her parents footsteps, Nova started attending Lancaster in the hope of some day becoming a Teacher. However, after a bit of a falling out with her parents, Nova decided to move away from home and started attending Woodcrest. Now trying to cope with being totally independent, along with the thrills and pitfalls of her new found freedom.
