Benedict grew up in Louisiana, spent most of his young life getting into trouble, fighting, drugs, drinking, general mischief but nothing -too- crazy. He went from home to home, not having a family until he was adopted by a very disciplined family. They taught him to use his anger in a healthy way, exercise. Eventually, he was introduced to boxing and wrestling, he loved to fight but at least this way he wouldn't get in trouble for it. His grades were mediocre but he truly shined in the ring. At least at the high school level he was quite advanced, natural to the sports and where he thrived. Thanks to his last foster home, they developed him into a respectful young man although he still has his attitude when he's gone too long without a good workout.

So, riding on mediocre grades, he got a boxing scholarship to Woodcrest university and he's transferring in the middle of the year due to financial reasons. He still maintains that hard exterior, but for any that get to know him he's actually rather kind, he's just blunt and doesn't care what people think of him, as well as playing drums for a rock band back home called "Tainted Blood", he's gone through quite a few changes to his style.
